19th of May 2021
EU EWB Webinar
Dear EWB members,
Hope you all feel very well in this hectic period…
After a long silence, we are resuming the organisation of the European EWB Forum, initially planned for May 2020 in Brussels…
To face the uncertainties on the pandemic front along with the confidence that the vaccines are bringing, we are considering two events, with different format:
1. An EU EWB Webinar on the 19th of May 2021
2. The EU EWB Forum in its original Live format, hopefully in May 2022
For the second event, we will still wait a couple of months to get a clearer picture on the restrictions linked to Covid-19 before confirming dates and details.
The EU EWB Webinar we are proposing for this spring will be articulated on two sessions, focused on EWB Organisation and processes.
The main objectives we will be looking at are :
• share best practices ;
• stimulate synergies and collaboration between EWB.
EWB UK and EWB Sweden have accepted – with enthusiasm – to host a session on a topic related to their organisation. Already all our warm thanks for their contribution.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Bernard Mathieu (Chairman of the Board)
& Jean-Jacques Carpantier (Board Member)

EWB UK Session details
Engineers Without Borders UK has a new strategy due for launch in May 2021. This has given us the opportunity to think strategically about our impact, and role in addressing global challenges. We have also collaborated with Engineers Without Borders South Africa and USA on the Engineering for People Design Challenge since 2018 and we’ve gained significant insights into how structured collaboration is key to leverage the potential of our global movement.
